The new Keysight Technologies, Inc. Software Development Kit (SDK) for 89600 VSA hardware connectivity (89630B) gives developers access to a Visual Basic plug-in that can be used to develop drivers to connect their non-Keysight hardware platforms to 89600 VSA software. The SDK includes all necessary documentation. Once connected, 89600 VSA users can perform common and consistent signal quality measurements with non-Keysight instruments. A new multi-vendor connectivity option (Opt. 301) extends the hardware connectivity beyond Keysight instruments to allow for interoperability with non-Keysight instruments and users’ own proprietary hardware platforms. Using the option, drivers developed by the SDK can easily flow IQ sampled data from the hardware to the 89600 VSA software. For cost-effective spectrum monitoring and comprehensive vector signal analysis, 89600 VSA software can now be connected to the ThinkRF R5500 real-time spectrum analyzer. The connection takes place via the R5500 driver, which was developed in collaboration with ThinkRF. The connection allows comprehensive vector signal analysis to be run with the 89600 VSA’s new multi-vendor hardware connectivity option.

The ThinkRF R5500 analyzer is PC-driven, compact, and remotely deployable to monitor signals in multiple locations. Built on innovative, highly optimizable, software-defined spectrum analysis technologies, the solution gives users greater versatility, better performance, and additional capabilities for monitoring applications. ThinkRF’s new R5500 driver, developed by the SDK, provides an integrated user experience between its R5500 spectrum analyzer and Keysight 89600 VSA software. It supports over 75 modulation types and signal formats, and enables greater insight on signals captured by the R5500 platform. The joint solution enables low-cost signal monitoring and complete vector signal analysis of aerospace/defense applications
