How do I use myKeysight Keysight Software Manager

Below are some instructions for using the Keysight Software Manager (KSM) for Keysight PathWave Design products. Note that there may be some variants depending how your machine is cached, etc.; however, these instructions should help you accomplish your task.

Redeeming an order - new user to myKeysight/KSM

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager and click New User.
  2. Enter the order number/certificate number from your Entitlement Certificate and complete all mandatory information.
  3. Click Create Account.
  4. An Account Successfully Created! screen will pop-up. Click login.
  5. Enter your email address and password and click Log In.
  6. The KSM Welcome screen will appear. Under License Management, click Request New Licenses.
  7. Check the box next to the license(s), then enter the Assign Qty (if available), and click Assign Products to Host.
  8. Enter in the host ID which can be a MAC address or USB hardware key (depending on the type of license purchased) and click Save Host ID.
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 if assigning licenses to multiple Host IDs.
  10. Once all assigned (or partially assigned if you so choose at this time), click License Preview.
  11. Click Request Licenses, then click on Yes, I am Sure if assignment is confirmed.
  12. The license(s) will generate and there will be options to either email or download the license file(s).
  13. If using the email function, the license file(s) will be sent from noreply@keysight.com.

Redeeming an order – returning user to myKeysight/KSM:

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager, enter your email and password and click Log In.
  2. If you do not get redirected to KSM immediately, click Keysight Software Manager under Assets.
  3. Under Entitlement Management, click on the Add New Certificate link.
  4. Enter in the order number and certificate number from your Entitlement Certificate.
  5. Click Find Certificate.
  6. Click Add Certificate.
  7. Click Request Licenses Now.
  8. Check the box next to the license(s), enter the Assign Qty (if available), and click Assign Products to Host.
  9. Enter in the host ID which can be a MAC address or USB hardware key (depending on the type of license purchased) and click Save Host ID.  Note: if the Host ID already exists in your profile, it will pop up below as you begin to type it in the assign host field.
  10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 if assigning licenses to multiple Host IDs.
  11. Once all assigned (or partially assigned if you so choose at this time), click License Preview.
  12. Click Request Licenses, then click on Yes, I am Sure if assignment is confirmed.
  13. The license(s) will generate and there will be options to either email or download the license file(s).
  14. If using the email function, the license file(s) will be sent from noreply@keysight.com.

Resetting your myKeysight/KSM password:

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager
  2. Click the Forgot your password link, enter your email address (your login), then click Send Email.
  3. You will receive an email to change your password which needs to be completed within 24 hours.
  4. Click the change your password link in the email.
  5. Enter in new password and click Update Password.
  6. You will be asked to login to MyKeysight. Enter your profile email address and new password in the Login area.
  7. Once logged in, click Keysight Software Manager under Assets.

To View your licenses in KSM:

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager, enter your email and password and click Log In.
  2. If you do not get redirected to KSM immediately, click Keysight Software Manager under Assets.
  3. Under My Licenses & Hosts, click View by Product or Host link.
  4. Select either the Products or Hosts radial button, then click on the down arrow to expand the selection.  You should see current license and support information.
  5. Under the Lic. Column, click the Download File icon to view and/or download license file to specific folder.

To Renew licenses:

Note: This pertains to the legacy perpetual licenses.

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager, enter your email and password and click Log In.
  2. If you do not get redirected to KSM immediately, click Keysight Software Manager under Assets.
  3. Under License Management, click Renew My EESOF EDA Licenses link.  This will show you the CPUID(s) of the licenses you are renewing.
  4. Click Continue to Renew Licenses.
  5. All products available to renew will be automatically checked.  If there are products you do not wish to renew, you will need to uncheck the box next to each product. Click Continue to Renew Licenses.
  6. The license(s) will generate and there will be options to either email or download the license file(s).
  7. If using the email function, the license file(s) will be sent from noreply@keysight.com.

To Upgrade licenses:

Note: This pertains to the legacy supported, perpetual licenses upgrading from version-based (ie 3.1, 3.2 etc.) to date-based licenses (ie 2022.1031).

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager, enter your email and password and click Log In.
  2. If you do not get redirected to KSM immediately, click on Keysight Software Manager under Assets
  3. Under Software Updates, click on Download Software Updates link.
  4. Click on the date-based license version link you wish to upgrade to, ie. ADS LICENSE (date-based).
  5. Click on the LICENSES link (notes to right will show how many available to upgrade).
  6. Check the box on the Host ID line and click Request License
  7. The license(s) will generate and there will be options to either email or download the license files.
  8. If using the email function, the license(s) will be sent from noreply@keysight.com.

To Re-host license(s) at renewal time:

Note: This pertains to the legacy perpetual licenses.

  1. Go to https://www.keysight.com/find/softwaremanager, enter your email and password and click Log In.
  2. If you do not get redirected to KSM immediately, click Keysight Software Manager under Assets.
  3. Under License Management, click Renew My EESOF EDA Licenses link.  This will show you the CPUID(s) of the licenses you are renewing.
  4. Choose the product you wish to re-host by clicking the multi-directional arrow under the Reassign column at far right of screen.
  5. A popup screen will appear, enter in your new CPUID and quantity to assign (if available), and click Save Host ID.
  6. Click Continue to Renew Licenses.
  7. The license(s) will generate and there will be options to either email or download the license file(s).
  8. If using the email function, the license file(s) will be sent from noreply@keysight.com.
