Keysight Technologies Extends Duration of Instrument Service, Warranties for New and Out-of-Production Models

Unmatched Range of Service Offerings is Focused on Customers' Long-term Success

SANTA ROSA, Calif., June 1, 2015

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) today announced that it has extended the available service period beyond the industry standard for many of its popular instruments that are no longer in production. The new Extended Service Period (ESP) program addresses a frequent request from customers who need to keep crucial test equipment operating over the life of multi-decade programs. In addition, Keysight is now offering multi-year Warranty Assurance plans that enable end users to lock in peak instrument performance for up to 10 years.

ESP solutions address a customer's installed base of Keysight, Agilent and HP test equipment after instrument manufacturing has ended. Keysight provides a range of standard offerings, such as multi-year repair agreements, and will work with the customer to tailor a solution that keeps long-term programs running until the customer's organization is ready to make the transition to new technology.

Warranty Assurance plans go beyond the company's industry-leading, standard three-year warranty to provide five-, seven- or ten-year coverage. Available with the original purchase of an instrument, these plans provide the lowest-priced, most-convenient way to ensure equipment performance while minimizing disruption to customer operations. The plans also reduce administrative hassles and guarantee priority service.

"Keysight has built a durable foundation for these programs by investing in the necessary infrastructure, including staff, equipment and supply chain of genuine OEM parts," said Mike Gasparian, senior vice president and general manager of Keysight's Customer Support and Services and Worldwide Marketing organization. "We want current and potential customers to know they can count on our commitment to ensuring their operational continuity – today, tomorrow and well into the future."

Both new offerings are part of Keysight's Instrument Lifecycle Solutions (ILS), which address ongoing service requirements that span a customer's product lifecycle. In addition to the Warranty Assurance and ESP offerings, ILS also includes Standard Service Period solutions that ensure ongoing instrument performance, post-warranty. These solutions deliver Keysight-quality calibration and repair services that optimize the customer's budget and test-system uptime.
