=============================================== README.TXT for EasyEXPERT group+ (for PC) =============================================== This document contains the following: * Introduction * System Requirements * Installation Instructions * Before Starting EasyEXPERT group+ software * Other Documents * Known Defects * Software Revision Introduction ============ The EasyEXPERT group+ GUI based characterization software is furnished with the Precision Current- Voltage Analyzer Series to accelerate the current-voltage characterization (IV characterization). It is available on your PC to support efficient and repeatable characterization across the entire process from measurement setup and execution to analysis and data management and so on, using the graphical intuitive user interface and mouse/keyboard operation. Various powerful features of EasyEXPERT group+ allow you to perform the measurement quickly and acquire the result graphically, dramatically improving the productivity of characterization. It has become increasingly important to accelerate the IV characterization, because it is necessary to fully understand the electrical behaviour of devices and materials. This is true no only for semiconductor devices, but also for other devices such as nano-components, photovoltaic cells, optical devices, organic devices, sensors, passive/active discrete components and automotive devices. There is much on-going research into improving these devices to decrease power consumption and lower costs so as to improve the overall performance of the consumer devices in which the devices ultimately reside. NOTE: For more details of the supported instruments and features, refer to the EasyEXPERT group+ technical overview. System Requirements =================== The following is the minimum requirement for executing EasyEXPERT group+ software on an external PC. - Display: XGA 1024x768 (SXGA 1280x1024 recommended) - Hard disk drive: 1 GB free space in the C drive, more than 30 GB free space is recommended for test setup/result data storage. - GPIB interface (for the Online execution mode): - Keysight 82350B GPIB interface; highly recommended - Keysight 82357A/B - National Instrument GPIB-USB-HS NOTE: USB GPIB interface might cause serial poll error. See more details in the Data Sheet. - Operating systems: - Windows Vista Business Version SP2 or later (32bit) - Processor: Vista certified PC - Memory: 2 GByte memory - Windows 7 Professional SP1 or later (32bit/64bit) - Processor: Windows 7 certified PC - Memory: 2 GByte memory - Windows 8.1 Professional SP1 or later (32bit/64bit) - Processor: Windows 8.1 certified PC - Memory: 2 GByte memory - Language: - English (US) or Japanese - Software: - Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 - Keysight IO Libraries Suite 16.2, 16.3, 17.1 update 1 or later (for the Online execution mode) NOTE: If all the required software is not installed, install them in the above sequence. For example, if a certain software is not installed, install it and then install all the software that are listed after the software, in the sequence listed above. If you are installing this software to Windows 8.1, you need either the Windows 8.1 DVD-ROM or Internet connection to install the .NET 3.5, because by default the .Net 3.5 is not installed on Windows 8.1. In this case, refer to the ".NET 3.5 Installation Instruction for Windows 8.1" that is available in the download website. For the IO Libraries Suite, obtain from Keyisight.com website. The other required software are stored in the Prerequisites folder. Installation Instructions ========================= To install EasyEXPERT group+ onto your computer, follow the procedure below. 1.
