What is the difference between the V-Applications and the Y-Applications?

• Y-Applications include the ability to run an unlimited number of waveforms for the technology purchased.
• V-Applications allow waveform playback based on installation of waveform license “packs” of 5 & 50 licenses.

For many customers the included three 50-packs with each E6640A EXM, for a total of 150 waveform slots, is sufficient, but for some customers it is not. For those customers that need a higher, even unlimited, number of waveforms we created the Y-Apps. The Y-Apps allow you to use Keysight Signal Studio software to generate any number of waveforms and play them back through the EXM’s arbitrary waveform generator.
