How is the N9051B Pulse Measurement Software delivered, installed and licensed?

Important: N9051B runs only on the CPU inside an X-Series signal analyzer, which must be Windows 7 and 64-bit. 

Beginning November 2014, the N9051B software will be pre-installed on most X-Series signal analyzer instrument software images. (At the same time, the N9051A will no longer be pre-installed.)
Note: The X-Series signal analyzer software installation package does not include N9051B. Thus, upgrading X-Series signal analyzer software with an install package does not provide N9051B.

The N9051B software will be delivered on CD-ROM media, to fulfill a customer order. Additionally, the latest version can be downloaded from the web. In both cases, Keysight recommends copying the installer to a USB thumb drive; then to the analyzer, log on as “Administrator”, un-install any older versions, then copy and run the N9051B installer. Re-start the X-Series signal analyzer application to make sure it recognizes the new N9051B executable.

In all cases, licenses must be obtained and “redeemed” to the HostID, following instructions provided with the license entitlement certificate.
