How to Find the Host ID for Server-Based Licenses

To obtain the license file, you will need the Computer/Hostname and Ethernet Address of the PC that will be the license server. Follow these instructions to find these items:

1. If not already installed, download and install the Logic and Protocol Analyzer application software from the Keysight website (www.agilent.com/find/la-sw-download) on the PC that will be the license server.
2. Start the Logic and Protocol Analyzer software on this PC by selecting Start > All Programs > Keysight Logic Analyzer > Utilities > License Server > LM Tools.
3. Select the System Settings tab of this application.
4. In the "Hostid Settings" frame, record the entries for Computer/Hostname and Ethernet Address. NOTE: If multiple 12 character entries are in the Ethernet Address field, use the first entry. The quote (") characters are not part of the entry.
5. When prompted to enter server name and host ID (myserver hosted), enter the Computer/Hostname and Ethernet Address recorded above, leave a space between the two entries.
