Can the handheld spectrum analyzers be turned on or off remotely?
There is no SCPI command to turn the HSA on or off.
The N9342C, N9343C or N9344C can be operated when connected to DC power, and be turned off or on by controlling the DC power.
Remotely controlling the HSA may be achieved by:
- Connect the instrument as shown in the diagram on the right.
2. The PC will control the power supply, not the HSA.
3. If power supply is off, the HSA will shut down.
If Power supply is on, the HSA will power up accordingly.
Note: The N9340B does not support this feature
