When do I need to perform “Calibrate All” and “Calibrate I/Q Balance” on my N4010A?

There are several scenarios where we recommend you do both calibrations:

1) When you power on the unit and have warmed it up for 30 minutes.
2) It has been 7 days (168 hours) since the last calibration has being done.
3) If a change in temperature of approximately more than 4° Celsius is observed.
Note: When Calibrate All is run (this also updates the recorded calibration temperature to match the current temperature).

The following command can be used to check the bit of the calibration condition:
STATus:QUEStionable:INTegrity:CONDition?
If the result is "0" then calibration is not required. If the result is "2" please perform the calibration
The firmware monitors the instrument temperature every 30 seconds, but it's important to note that it doesn’t generate an error if a change of 4°C is detected.

You can calibrate by pressing the following front panel key:
For Calibrate All: - System > Service (Softkeys) > Calibrate All (Softkeys)
It will test approximately 6 minutes
For Calibrate I/Q Balance: - System > Service (Softkeys) > Calibrate I/Q Balance (Softkeys)
It will test approximately 4 minutes

It is also recommended that you run the calibrations whenever you have doubt your N4010A measurement is inaccurate.
