The Device Under Test (DUT) model should be updated as often as the developer sees fit. A well-defined model in Fault Detective will consistently provide accurate diagnoses without constant updates. However, test and diagnostic results may advocate a need for updates to the current model. Likewise, a change to the test suite or DUT itself will require a change in the model to keep it current.
