How can I make 75 Ω measurements using the ENA?

(SUPPORTED MODELS IN BOLD: E5071C E5080A E5072A E5070B/71B E5070A/71A E5061A/62A E5061B E5063A E5091A E5092A)

If you want to make measurements based on reference impedance of 75 Ω, the simplest way is to shift the system characteristic impedance of the ENA. For this method you need to prepare appropriate 50-75 Ω minimum-loss pads and a 75 Ω calibration kit in accordance with the connector type.

Step1. Change the system characteristic impedance to 75 Ω.

Step2. Connect minimum loss pads to every test port you will use.

Step3. Perform a full n-port calibration with 75 Ω cables and 75 Ω standards in the same manner as a 50 Ω calibration (Figure 1).
