What is the DC open/short/load calibration used for?

The DC open/short/load calibration function is used to compensate DC resistance measurement values for both the residual DC resistance inside the test port and the DC resistance of extension cables, which exist between the DUT contact position and the DC resistance measurement circuit inside the 4287A.

DC STD(s) input function allows optional resistance standard(s) to be used for the DC resistance measurement calibration as required.
