You can fix this issue without sending the analyzer in for repair by doing the following steps:
- Using Windows Explorer, navigate to D:\User_My_Documents\Instrument\My Documents\system
- Delete the files in the system folder
- Next navigate to D:\User_My_Documents\Instrument\My Documents\NFIG\state
- Delete the files in the state folder
- Now navigate to D:\User_My_Documents\Instrument\My Documents\System
- Delete the files in the system folder
- Cycle the power on the analyzer
- Once the analyzer is sweeping again, perform a mode switch from Spectrum Analyzer to Noise Figure and back again and everything should mode switch fine
- Cycle the power on the analyzer (yes, a 2nd time is needed)
- Once the analyzer is sweeping again, perform a mode switch from Spectrum Analyzer to Noise Figure and back again and re-verify that the mode switch is fine
