What is the primary application of the DC resistance measurement function of the 4287A?

The DC resistance measurement function is used primarily for contact check. It checks contact failure between a DUT and the measurement electrodes of an automatic component handler.
Note: Since the DC resistance measurement function is not for accurately measuring the DC resistance of inductive DUTs, the measurement range and accuracy are not as good as dedicated resistance meters.
