How can I move a complete configuration from one PC to another?
You can do this by creating a package, move the package to the new PC then read the package in.
Packages allow you to store configuration(s) and datalog(s) to a file and allow for archiving and easy transport of configurations and datalogs from computer to computer and between datalogging applications.
Package files can have these extensions:
- .bldl extension--this package came from a BenchLink Data Logger 3 application (for the 34970A)
- .bldl80A extension--this package came from a BenchLink Data Logger for 34980A application
- .bldlPro--this is the BenchLink Data Logger Pro package extension
Creating a Package
- To create a package, click Package > Create... . This displays the “Create Package” dialog box.
- Select the configuration and datalog(s) and click Create Package... This opens the Save As dialog box.
- Select a folder and enter a package name and click Save.
Reading a Package
- To read a package, click Package > Read... . This displays the Open dialog box.
- Select a folder and a package name and click Open. This opens the Unpackage Configuration/Data Files dialog box.
- Select the configuration(s) and datalog(s) to read (you can read packages with a .bldl, bldl80, or bldlPro extension). Click the Unpackage button to read the configuration(s).
Notes: You can read configuration(s) alone or configuration(s) and datalog(s). You cannot read a datalog alone without its associated configuration.
If a configuration name already exists in the Configuration View in “Data Manager”, the newly read configuration will be renamed by prefixing Package[n] to the configuration name.
