How can I read the responsivity data of my 8163x optical power sensor module, optical head, and ...

To read out the responsivity data of your optical power sensor module, optical head or attenuator with integrated power control use the following commands described in the mainframe programming guide, revision February 2002 on page 76-77, and later revisions:

command: :SLOT[n]:HEAD[m]:WAVelength:RESPonse:SIZE?

command: :SLOT[n]:HEAD[m]:WAVelength:RESPonse?

command: :SLOT[n]:HEAD[m]:WAVelength:RESPonse:CSV?

Note:

For dual power sensors (81635A) also the 'head' command has to be used. That implies 'head1' is channel 1 and 'head2' is channel2 for the dual sensor.

The row returned consists of a few hundred values separated by 2 nm. The values are not absolute power values but relative values.

The response time for these commands is quite long. You may have to change the time set until a timeout occurs.

The firmware revision of mainframe and modules need to be 4.0 or later.
