When automating markers on the ENA is it possible to programmatically query the indicated inductance or capacitance on a Smith Chart?
The inductance / capacitance information cannot be directly queried via the automation interfaces. The inductance (positive reactance, top half of the Smith Chart) or capacitance (negative reactance, lower half of the Smith Chart) is not available as an automation query.

FAQ 2014-08-11

Does the ENA 6 series have the swept sweep mode in the frequency sweep?
No. The E5061A/62A and E5061B have only stepped sweep mode in the frequency sweep.

FAQ 2013-04-25

What is the difference between an "ECal Confidence Check" and a Network Analyzer "System Verification" test?
The ECal Confidence Check is a method to check the accuracy of a calibration performed with either a mechanical cal kit or an ECal module. System verification testing provides network analyzer users a method to verify that the network analyzer is ...

FAQ 2012-12-18

Is it possible on the Keysight ENA series Network Analyzers to over-ride the output source blanking at every sweep end?
Yes, the output source blanking on sweep retrace can be prevented by turning off the Initial Source Port Control function.

FAQ 2012-12-18

What are the implications of swapping test heads between different Keysight 4287A Impedance Analyzers?
The Keysight 4287A Impedance Analyzer must be used with the furnished test head as a set because it is an indivisible portion of the calibrated 4287A.

Is it possible to change the font size of softkey menu on ENA?
Yes. The font size of softkey menu can be changed with following procedure...

FAQ 2011-10-07

On the ENA / ENA-L, what occurs if I select "order-based display" in sweep mode?
Measurement points of different segments are plotted in constant intervals.

FAQ 2011-10-07

On the ENA, how can I make CW sweep (Fixed frequency) without turning off the ENA's output signal each time a sweep finishes?
Turn off the "Init Src Ctrl" feature, then hold trigger.

FAQ 2011-10-07

What are the equations that relate Real and Imaginary data pairs to Log Magnitude, Polar, Phase, and Smith Chart formats?

FAQ 2011-10-07

Does the touchstone file generated by the ENA / ENA-L include the electrical delay?
The touchstone files do not include electrical delay. Please use port extension.

FAQ 2011-10-07

For Cable Testing should I use a TDR, a network analyzer, or both?

Our 4395A displays "Caution: CONT switching may damage Mech switch.". How should I repair?
The 4395A does not need repair.

FAQ 2008-06-27

While measuring capacitors with my Keysight impedance analyzer, I am realizing negative values for Q and D. Can you advise?
For low loss devices (high Q, low D) it is not uncommon to realize negative readings on an LCR meter / Impedance analyzer. Note that the negative reading is physically impossible (for passive components) and the following explanation is provided.
