Enabling 400G / 1T Coherent Communications Webcast

1   Hour | Webcast - recorded | Where & When

WHAT IS THE WEBCAST ABOUT

Don't miss this important webcast hosted by application experts at Keysight Technologies. We will discuss the generation and analysis of test signals that will allow you to increase link speeds up to 1 Tbit/sec over your existing networks, while reducing the overall cost-per-bit of transmission.

Enabling 400G / 1T coherent communications requires the generation and analysis of test signals using more complex modulation formats such as 64-QAM and higher baud symbol rates up to 64 GBd. Reaching these speeds imposes much higher requirements on each of the individual parts of a data transmission system. It becomes increasingly important to test the characteristics of each component of the system in order to accurately calibrate for frequency responses, skews and nonlinearities.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Design engineers, signal integrity engineers, quality engineers, validation engineers, test engineers, architects, project managers, program managers, application managers, and application engineers.

PRESENTERS

Michael Koenigsmann, Application Specialist, Keysight Technologies

Michael Koenigsmann joined Keysight Technologies (formerly Agilent Technologies/Hewlett Packard) in 1996 as an Application Engineer for RF/µWave products in the Electronic Test & Measurement Business.
He held various positions in Sales, Product Support and R&D before he joined the Networks and Data Centers Marketing Team where he focuses on applications for Optical Modulation Analyzer and High-Speed Arbitrary Waveform Generator product portfolios in Coherent Optical Communications.
Michael studied Electrical Engineering, specializing in Communication Engineering and Microwave Technology. He holds a degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund.

Joerg Pfeifle, Product Manager, Keysight Technologies

Joerg Pfeifle is part of Keysight’s Network and Data Center marketing team. His responsibilities include test and measurement solutions for the transport network market segments, particularly coherent optical communications. Before joining Keysight in 2016, Joerg was a research assistant at the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Electronics of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) focusing on coherent Tbit/s communications with frequency comb sources. Prior to that, Joerg obtained his Master degree in electrical engineering from KIT in 2010.
