A cookie is text file containing small amounts of information stored on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a webpage. You can find more information about cookies and how to manage them at http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ .
The main purpose of a cookie is to allow a web server to identify a user and serve up customized web pages and/or login information to the use's web browser when revisiting a web page. These cookies help you avoid entering identification details each time you visit our website or repeatedly type the same information you are looking for on our website (search terms, key words, names of products, etc.).

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

Clear Gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, Clear Gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
