Video Demos on Generating X-Parameters from Circuit Level Designs
This series of four demonstration videos shows how to generate fast and accurate behavioral models based on X-parameters* generated from a circuit-level design. These models offer an ideal way for designers to share the performance of their circuit-level designs with the system design/integrator, prior to the availability of a physical prototype. Using these models, the system designer/integrator can evaluate overall system performance and conduct trade-off analysis earlier in the design cycle and much faster than if they were working with circuit-level designs. Because the X-parameter-based models are accurate and characterized over the same set of parameters that would be used to characterize the actual physical device, they also have a higher degree of confidence that the chip will work within the system the first time.

Part 2 of 4 (00:10:46) - Generating Load Dependent X-parameter Models
- Video demo on generating a load pull / load dependent X-parameter model that allows accurate simulation of cascaded nonlinear X-parameter blocks with mismatch.
Part 3 of 4 (00:09:38) - Generating Two-Tone X-parameter Models
- Video demo on generating a two-tone X-parameter model that can be used to determine inter-modulation products and third order intercept of wireless components like amps, mixers, etc.
Part 4 of 4 (00:08:42) - Using X-parameter Models in ADS for Wireless Verification
- Video demo on using X-parameter models at the system level to evaluate wireless verification specs such as EVM, ACPR, spectrum, channel power, and constellation.
