Title Abstract
Real-time Monitoring of LTE Networks During a Mass Event

During a mass event, operators need to ensure the service capability and performance of their wireless networks for the end customers on site, as large events create a lot of traffic, especially in social media in terms of textual, photo and video updates as well as voice and video calls. Instead of targeted measurement campaigns, operators want information in real-time about network performance.

Using Nemo Cloud connected to Nemo Autonomous Probe unattended measurement units, operators can cost-effectively monitor the venue, without the need for field staff at site - directly streamlining their OPEX.

In this presentation Keysight’s Kai Ojala, Vice President and CTO, Network Measurement Solutions, will present an actual customer case and related results of real-time LTE-A monitoring of a sports arena, where key parameters of the LTE-A networks were monitored in real-time. The measurement spans throughout the event laying out KPIs such as dropped calls, application functionality, latency, ping and overall data throughput performance.
