What is Keysight's Windows 7 to Windows 10 Migration Schedule?

Keysight Technologies uses Microsoft’s embedded versions of Windows in a number of our performance instruments.  We are currently beginning the transition of our Windows based instruments from Windows Embedded Standard 7 to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.  The first Windows 10 IoT Enterprise products will begin shipping in early 2017, and our intent is to complete the transition for most all shipping products by the end of 2018.  It is also our intent to, where feasible, offer upgrade options for products that have already been delivered.  In some cases, upgrades may not be available due to the age of the fielded product or the compatibility of the hardware.

We are aware of the ever broadening customer requirement to have Win10 based instruments available and we are continuing to push for acceleration of the transition for key products.  The current known windows migration status of product families is as follows:

  • Real-Time Oscilloscopes will transition by November 2017
  • Sampling Oscilloscopes will transition by February 1, 2018
  • Modular controllers will transition by September 1, 2017
  • X-series Signal Analyzers (N90XXA and N90XXB) will transition by January 2018
  • PNA/PNA-X (N52XXB) Network analyzers will transition by January 1, 2018

  • E5500 Phase Noise system will transition early 2018
