光纤通道设计与测试

光纤通道(FC)是 IT 技术人员在数据中心使用的一种高速存储域网络(SAN)技术。它可以将服务器、交换机和路由器连接到磁盘阵列等存储设备和其他外部企业级存储系统。光纤通道技术是从 1990 年代中期发展起来的新技术,最初的设计利用 8B/10B 编码方案,可以在 1.0625 Gbaud 光纤链路上实现 100 MBps 的数据传输速率。后继实施的数据传输速率一直以翻倍的速度增长――2G/4G/8G/16G/32G 光纤通道的数据传输速率分别达到 200/400/800/1600/3200 MBps。2G、4G 和 8G 光纤通道的信号传输速率也分别倍增到 2.125、4.25 和 8.5 Gbaud。不过,进一步加快数据速率面临着多种挑战,为此需要应用不同的编码方案,例如在 16G 光纤通道上应用 64b/66b 编码,甚至需要引入前向误差校正(FEC)。这样做的结果是,数据速率与光纤通道的名称不再完全相符(例如,16G FC 的波特率为 14.025 Gbaud,32G FC 的波特率为 28.05 Gbaud)。此外,应用并行设计,例如使用四条单独光纤或在一条光纤上采用粗波分复用(CWDM)技术,可以充分利用较低线路速率的技术并把容量扩充四倍(128G FC)。
