Agilent 34980A IVI-COM Driver Policy File Update

The installer for the 34980A IVI-C/IVI-COM driver (rev 1.3.1.0) does not correctly install
policy files. This can cause a program written with a previous version of the 34980A driver
to not correctly recognize and use the newer revision of the driver. This is especially true
of programs written in Agilent VEE.

This will be corrected in the next revision of the driver, which should be out sometime in February.

Below is the process for installing the policy files:

1. Unzip the file into: \IVI\Drivers\Agilent34980A

2. Open: Start Menu > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Microsoft .NET Framework (1.1) Configuration

3. In the .NET Configuration utility, click on Assembly Cache and select "Add an Assembly"

4. Browse to \IVI\Drivers\Agilent34980A and open:
Policy.1.2.Agilent.Agilent34980A.Interop.dll
